The mission of the Water Division of the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is to have available upon demand, to all of our customers, good quality water and to provide that water in the most efficient manner possible. Certified by the State of Kansas, BPU's water laboratory monitors the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of our water. By using sophisticated equipment and scientifically advanced procedures, our water is rigorously tested to ensure it meets requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
